Popular Slain DJ Was Going To Buy Marijuana

Corey McGriff, a k a DJ Megatron a television host on BET’s 106 and Park and radio personality with NYC’s Hot 97 was shot and killed over the weekend in near his home in Staten Island.
McGriff was chatting with a friend, telling him he was buying marijuana, at 2 a.m. Sunday when the line suddenly went dead, a source said. He had only $1 in his wallet, and left his 4-year-old son home alone in pursuit of his mission and cops said a gal pal was paying his bills.
He also leaves behind an 11-year-old daughter and a 9-month-old son.
This story is disturbing to me because he left his young son home alone, to go buy weed and did not return. It just all seems a little fishy. I hope the police are able to crack this case. My prayers are with his family and his young children. SMH.
