Signs & Symptoms Of Breast Cancer

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I’m going to do my part to keep women…..and men informed about breast cancer. Today, I’ve decided to share some of the signs and symptoms of breast cancer. If you’re experiencing any of these issues you should schedule an appointment to see your doctor immediately

Signs and symptoms of breast cancer may include:

  • A breast lump or thickening that feels different from the surrounding tissue
  • Bloody discharge from the nipple
  • Change in the size or shape of a breast
  • Changes to the skin over the breast, such as dimpling
  • Inverted nipple
  • Peeling, scaling or flaking of the nipple or breast skin
  • Redness or pitting of the skin over your breast, like the skin of an orange

None of these symptoms are a sure fire way to get a breast cancer diagnosis, however it’s helpful in determining if you need further tests or a biopsy.
